We can do it!

We can finally both sit up all by ourselves!

Can I just say how hard it is to get a good picture of two babies together. It's pretty much impossible.

Lily is three!

We celebrated Lilys' third birthday this last Thursday. She's getting so old, I can't believe I have a three year old! We talked up her birthday the whole week before, so by the time the big day finally came she was super excited. Mckade and I let her open our presents from us earlier in the day. She finally got her long awaited pillow pet! She's wanted one since Christmas when all her cousins got one, and has mentioned it almost every week since. She got tons of presents at her party and was just generally spoiled.

6 months already?

I really can't believe the boys are six months! It makes me sad how fast they grow. They have both been growing and doing lots of fun new things. They can each roll over both ways now, they laugh and laugh at McKade and Lily, and Jax sprouted two little teeth a few weeks ago! Jets gums are a little swollen, so I think we have a few more chompers on the way.
6 month stats:
Jet: weight~ 15 lbs 4 oz (10th percentile)  length~ 27 1/4 inches (75th percentile)
Jax:weight~ 15 lbs 14oz (25th percentile) length~ 26 1/4 inches (50th percentile)

And of course I had to post a few pictures of this little girl, who is doing and saying the funniest things lately. No one believes me when I tell them how much she loves her veggies, now I've got proof! I was making dinner, and she got this giant piece of raw broccoli out of the crisper and went to town! She didn't even eat her dinner... Just look at her digging in!

Earlier that day she kept asking me where my "listen" was.. I finally figured out she was talking about my stethoscope. She listened to the stuffed puppy, both boys, and she made me pull up my shirt so she could listen to my belly, this was  how that conversation went:

Lily: let me listen to your belly belly.... Oh, I hear some babies in there!

Me: oh really? I think we have enough babies around here. Don't you?

Lily: No. We need ONE more.

Me: We do?

Lily: Yes, a boy baby.



Huh. I'm not even close to being convinced that is true....



Nursery...

I finally got the twins room done... I know they are almost 6 months and I'm really lame because I'm just now getting it done. I was soo excited for them to have an actual nursery, we were always renting when Lily was a baby. I would have had it done sooner, but I had to wait for McKade to finish building the second crib and the shelves. I love the way it turned out, and I love my cute bedding. (thanks again H & A !)

Guess who

We aren't sure if the boys are identical or not (since they were in separate sacks they could be identical or fraternal), but they sure do look identical right now!  We always get asked how we tell the boys apart, the differences aren't that noticeable anymore. When they were first born it was really easy to tell them apart. The weight difference was really obvious, plus Jet had a little dent in the side of his head from being on the bottom. ( luckily that went away) It was a lot harder than I thought it would be to capture them in a picture, but here we go...

The main thing I look at right now is this little dimple Jax has on the right side of his chin. It doesn't look very obvious in this picture, though.

My brother says their noses look different, and that's how he tells them apart. I can't see the difference though. They might look a little different in these pictures, maybe it's the camera angle.

The only other difference is this birthmark that Jet has on his chest.  When he gets really mad or cries, he turns red,  and it stays white. Any other day I could have gotten a picture of this with no problem, of course today he's extra happy and won't cry. So that's it, it's really not much. I find a have to look at them really close nowadays to see who's who, I've been wrong more than once. :)

Merry Christmas!

We had a great Christmas this year, even though Christmas day felt so hectic. We ended up being gone the entire day! Lily was a little more excited than last year, so that made it more fun. She definitely got spoiled by everyone, so did the boys.

Opening presents from Santa... not quite sure Christmas is fun yet. It took her a while to warm up to the idea. She kept insisting only one of the presents Santa brought was hers.  She said the rest were for her brothers and her "swiends." (friends)  By the end of the day she was a pro at unwrapping presents! She even helped Jet and Jax unwrap theirs!

Lily made McKade sit in her new tent she got from Mimi and Grandpa Dave and put together a puzzle.

New do

Lily's hair has been driving me crazy lately. I finally decided to have auntie Jill chop it all off! Lily loved all the attention, and did just what Jill asked her to do. It turned out so cute and it is so much easier to do! I have told Lily over and over that Jill is the ONLY one who cuts our hair... I'm terrified she'll grab the scissors one day and hack it all off....

Her hair was so long, I think we ended up cutting off about four or five inches! It looks much better, I think :)
